Our times are in His hands . . .
How I was recently reminded of this when my dear friend Sarah’s husband died on May 15. Shocking. Unexpected. How can this be?
My heart yet aches with sorrow—for Barry, leaving us too soon; for Sarah, now alone after 35 years of marriage; for their three wonderful daughters, left without a dad.
Our times are in His hands . . .
An expression of our smallness, and His bigness. But also an expression of hope—that our Heavenly Father has an everlasting plan for us and our loved ones—wherein one day there will be no more sorrow, tears, or pain.
In that hope we take refuge, we find strength to continue on. For in Christ, death is not a period, but a comma in the story of life.

That was a beautiful song and I am weeping remembering my son and grandson
who left us so prematurely in their lives.
I will look for info on where to get this music as it surely needs to be shared..

The song is “Goodbye For Now” by Kathy Troccoli. I agree it is so beautiful, and offers comfort and hope.

Cheryl – I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend. I take comfort knowing that he was a disciple of the Lord, and that you will see him again at the Lord’s return. We feel the loss of fellowship with our brothers and sisters who are no longer with us, but it is not the hopeless sorrow that the world experiences. We know that our Lord Jesus will appear and gather His saints together at the last trumpet’s sound.
I too have felt the sting of the loss of a brother in Christ, who died suddenly, whom I Ioved dearly. But I look forward to the day we can laugh together again. Praise God for His promises.
Thank you for encouraging us in the Hope that we all share.
